Monitoring an iPhone with TruSpyX can be done in two ways: iCloud-based monitoring (no physical access required after initial setup) or device-based monitoring (for advanced features). This guide covers both methods.

Method 1: iCloud-Based Monitoring (No Jailbreak)

This is the easiest method and doesn't require physical access to the iPhone after initial iCloud credential setup.

Requirements:

  • Child's Apple ID and password
  • iCloud Backup must be enabled on the target device
  • Two-factor authentication access

Steps:

  1. Create your TruSpyX account and choose a plan
  2. In your dashboard, select "Add iPhone Device"
  3. Choose "iCloud Monitoring" method
  4. Enter the child's Apple ID email and password
  5. Complete the two-factor authentication verification
  6. Data will begin syncing within 15–30 minutes

What You Can Monitor via iCloud:

  • iMessages and SMS texts
  • Contacts and call history
  • Photos and videos
  • Notes and calendar
  • Location history (if enabled)
  • Installed apps list
  • Browser bookmarks and history

Method 2: Device-Based Monitoring (Advanced)

For deeper monitoring including social media DMs, app activity, and real-time features, a brief physical setup is needed.

Requirements:

  • Physical access to the iPhone for about 5 minutes
  • Device passcode
  • iOS 12.0 or higher

Steps:

  1. Log into your TruSpyX dashboard and select "Device Setup"
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions specific to the iOS version
  3. Install the monitoring profile via Safari
  4. Trust the profile in Settings > General > Profiles
  5. The setup completes automatically

Tips for iPhone Monitoring

  • Keep iCloud Backup enabled — Go to Settings > [Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup and ensure it's ON
  • Regular backups — iCloud monitoring syncs with the most recent backup. Encourage your child's phone to backup regularly (it does automatically when connected to Wi-Fi and charging)
  • iOS updates — After major iOS updates, you may need to re-verify the monitoring setup
