Setting up TruSpyX on an Android phone takes less than 5 minutes. This step-by-step guide walks you through the entire process.
Before You Start
- You need physical access to the target Android device for about 5 minutes
- Device requirements: Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher
- Internet connection required on the target device (Wi-Fi or mobile data)
- Active TruSpyX account — Sign up here if you haven't already
Step 1: Prepare the Target Device
- Go to Settings > Security (or Settings > Apps > Special access)
- Enable "Install from unknown sources" or "Allow from this source" for the browser
- This allows installation of apps outside the Play Store
Step 2: Download TruSpyX
- Open the browser on the target device
- Navigate to the download link provided in your TruSpyX account dashboard
- Download the APK file
- Tap the downloaded file to begin installation
Step 3: Install & Configure
- Follow the on-screen installation wizard
- Grant the requested permissions (location, contacts, SMS, storage, accessibility)
- Enter your TruSpyX account credentials when prompted
- Choose monitoring options (stealth mode recommended)
- The app will configure itself and disappear from the app drawer
Step 4: Verify Installation
- Log into your TruSpyX dashboard
- Check that the device appears as "Connected"
- Verify that data is being received (location, apps, etc.)
- Return the device to your child
Troubleshooting Common Issues
App keeps getting killed by battery optimization
Go to Settings > Battery > Battery optimization and set TruSpyX (or its process name) to "Not optimized".
Location tracking is inaccurate
Ensure Location > High accuracy mode is enabled in the device settings.
Social media monitoring not working
Enable Accessibility Service for TruSpyX in Settings > Accessibility.
