The right to monitor
You should be the parent or guardian of a minor, or the owner of the device with the user's consent where the law requires it. TruSpyX™ is built for lawful, consent-based monitoring only.
A supported phone
Android 8 or newer, or iPhone/iPad on iOS 12 or newer. For Android you'll need the device in hand for a few minutes; for iPhone you'll need the Apple ID and password.
An internet connection
The device needs Wi-Fi or mobile data so activity can sync to your dashboard. That's it — no cables, no computer and no special hardware required.
Setup on Android vs iPhone
The path differs slightly by platform. Here's what each one looks like, step by step.
Android setup
Direct installation on the device gives Android the widest coverage across messaging and social apps.
- Open your confirmation link on the child's Android phone and follow the guided installer.
- Grant the permissions the wizard requests — accessibility, notifications and location — each explained as you go.
- Sign in with the account you created so the phone links to your dashboard.
- Confirm the green status indicators, then hand the phone back. Activity begins syncing within minutes.
iPhone setup
Many iPhone features sync through iCloud, so you can often set things up without touching the phone.
- Enter the child's Apple ID and password in your dashboard when prompted.
- Complete the two-factor step using the code sent to a trusted device.
- Make sure iCloud backup is switched on for the phone so data can sync.
- Wait for the first sync to finish — messages, photos, contacts and location then appear in your dashboard.
Neither method requires jailbreaking or rooting the device, and there's no separate app to install on your own phone — the dashboard runs in any web browser.
